Der musikalische Ursprung liegt bei mir im Jahr 2000, hervorgerufen durch ein Projekt meiner damaligen Musiklehrerin. Im gleichen Jahr nahm ich dann auch Unterricht bei Peter Kröcker, einem Jazztrommler, dessen Unterricht mich sehr prägte. Bis heute habe ich in mehreren Projekten mitgewirkt, von Covermusik über Metal bis hin zur Rock- und Popmusik. Sogar kurzzeitig als Gitarrist bei den Herren, die heute unter dem Namen "El Moloc" bekannt sind. Aktuell bin ich neben AORTA noch in zwei anderen Formationen als Schlagzeuger zu finden: Stotco (progressive Pop-Rock Musik) und Grind Machine (Ur-Thrash). Des Weiteren sind noch einige Projekte in Planung. Was mich an Aorta so fasziniert ist der enorm kreative Aspekt. Steffen (auch bei "NoiseFreak" und "Jesus kommt aus Bützow" zu finden) und ich erarbeiten in der Regel den Grundplan der Lieder, die dann durch Mulle und Manni zu dem werden, was sie sind. AORTA bedeutet für mich pure Energie, Strukturlosigkeit, Einfluss aus allen musikalischen Sparten und natürlich Spaß mit den anderen drei Jungs.

My musical roots start in 2000 as a result of a project of my former music teacher. In the very same year I started learning the drums with Peter Kröcker, a jazzdrummer, which lessons had big influence on my style of drumming. To this day, I played in different projects, from cover-music to metal to rock- and pop-music. Even a short time as a guitarist with the guys, who are called "El Moloc" today. Among AORTA I play in two other formations the drums: Stotco (progressive pop-rock music) and Grind Machine (old thrash). Furthermore there are some projects being planned. The fascination of AORTA is the enormous creativity. In general Steffen (also member of "NoiseFreak" and "Jesus kommt aus Bützow") and I are doing the main structure of the songs. The ideas of Mulle and Manni complete the songs. From my point of view AORTA is pure energy, formlessness, influence of all musical styles and of course fun with the other three guys.
